Welcome to Art of Life Psychotherapy!
Life is an art. We are both artist and observer, creating as we go along and inevitably making a mess in the process. At the same time, we watch in horror as the paint splatters and can find ourselves critiquing our process and the results.
Like any good art, life will make us feel something. At times, our emotions can be overwhelmingly difficult to carry on our own. The ongoing pain of trauma, the deep darkness of depression, the unsettling panic of anxiety, the immeasurable sorrow of grief, or even the fear of growth, change, and joy exist just under the surface, asking to be witnessed. All your complicated emotions, identities, and life experiences are welcome to be seen here.
My role as a therapist is to sit with you as we look at the colors of your life experiences together without judgment. I aim to help you connect with the full range of your emotions, including the heavy stuff, because I believe emotions are what help us feel alive inside. They are the secret ingredients that bring art to life. I want to help empower you to take on an active role as the artist of your own life, give you the tools to create what you want for yourself, and show you how to view your life as the complex masterpiece that it is. Let’s create something meaningful together.
